A Cub Scout Pack can have up to 36 Cub Scouts and is split into smaller groups called Sixes. Cubs take part in a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging. A Cub Scout meeting consists of games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors.

Cubs are for girls and boys aged 8-10 1/2 years old.

Camps and holidays are some of the most memorable events of the year for Cubs.

Following the Cubs AGM, the Scout committee for 6th West Lothian Scout Group has asked us to approach parents and ask if you would like to join the committee.  The more the merrier as they say!!  The more parents we can get to join the committee, the better our group can become as a new influx of members can bring new ideas.
Becoming a committee member doesn’t involve much, you just come along to the 4 meetings that happen throughout the year, you can bring your kids and it’s a good chance to help out and influence the groups activities.
We are also looking for a treasurer, so if you are good with numbers we’d love to hear from you.
We would also like to take this opportunity to alert you to local discounts.  With the camp coming up you may be needing to purchase a few items.  Some of the outdoor shops in Livingston and McArthur Glen do a Scouting discount (Cotswold camping and Mountain Warehouse certainly do).  Usually about 10% off, just let the shop assistant know your child is a member of Cubs and ask if they do a discount.
If you have any questions, or would like to know more about how you can help us, volunteering with us, or have any questions about our activities over the next few months, please let us know.
